  • $375 per month, up to six months ($2,250 maximum)
  • $750 if the youth is retained six months beyond the first six (one full year)
  • $750 if the youth is retained for a second full year

Eligibility

FAQ

Questions, answered

Still curious? An advisor is one call away.

What is the WOTC?

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit is a federal tax credit available to employers who hire individuals from specific target groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment.

What type of business is eligible for WOTC?

Any business can earn tax credits by hiring individuals who fit one of the program’s target groups, such as veterans, disabled persons, and people receiving government assistance.

Are WOTC credits worth my time and investment?

Yes. MHOL Consulting’s risk-free pricing ensures you only pay when you receive certification of your tax credits — so there’s no downside to screening your hires.

Why do I need MHOL Consulting?

We provide a seamless solution for employers, candidates, and new hires so you can ensure full compliance and easy tax-credit certification without additional administrative burden.

Can I combine WOTC with other credits?

Often, yes. Generally the wages used to calculate the WOTC can’t also be used for another wage-based credit, but you may be able to claim more than one credit for the same employee — such as the ERC, Empowerment Zone Employment Credit, or Paid Family and Medical Leave credit — provided the same wages aren’t counted twice.
