Credits scale with hours and retention. Here’s what an eligible hire can be worth over two years of employment.
Part-Time
20–34 hrs/wk (or 10–34 hrs/wk if enrolled in high school)
$3,750 maximum
Full-Time
35+ hours per week
$7,500 maximum
Your business must be certified by the State to participate in the NY Youth Jobs Program. Qualified employees are ages 16–24 and must start work between January 1 and December 31 of the program year, and receive an annual final certificate of tax credit from the New York State Department of Labor.
